Kingdom of God
"The Ancient of Days, the Son of Man, and the Everlasting Kingdom" (Daniel 7:13-14).
The term Kingdom of God means the rule of God, from the dominion of God in lives of individual believers to his ultimate dominion over the entire earth in the Olam haBa, the Age to Come. God is sovereign over everything that exists; however, he gives human beings free will as a part of his image and likeness in them. Those who choose to accept Jesus as their Lord are translated into God’s kingdom. Surrendering one’s life to Christ, then, is the first step toward advancing God’s dominion over everything. In this issue, we focus on the concept of the Kingdom of God, how it has been manifest in the past, and how it will be manifest in the future. The Good News of the Messiah is the Gospel of the Kingdom of God.
