Hanukkah: The Festival of Dedication
The Festival of the Dedication (John 10:22)
The only place where Hanukkah is mentioned in Scripture is in John 10, where Jesus was present in Jerusalem for its celebration. This post-Torah festival is important for Christians as well as for Jews because it celebrates the victory of God’s people over tyranny and false religion. It also speaks to believers of the importance of dedication to the process of bringing forth light. This issue of Restore! will inspire you with truth.
