Divine Justice

"Justice, only justice. You shall pursue that you may live" (Deuteronomy 16:20).

One of God’s greatest concerns in the lives of his people is the pursuit of justice. Since God is a righteous God who never fails to fulfill his truth, he expects his people to follow his ways and do what is right in his eyes. At the same time, God is ever merciful, granting grace to those who are in need. This is why he commands believers to pursue justice while tempering justice with mercy by carrying out Micah’s dictum: “Do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with God.
