Shofar
Sounding the Biblical Alarm for Hebraic Truth
The ram’s horn (shofar) is one of the most enduring of biblical symbols, harking back at least to the time of Abraham, when a ram was caught by its horns in a thorn bush as a substitute for the sacrifice of Isaac. The trembling wail of the shofar is a reminder to God’s people that they stand in the presence of a holy God. This issue of Restore! will examine the wide-ranging material in Holy Scripture that speaks to God’s people of trumpets.
